2021 Annual Seollal Concert

Early 2021, the pandemic was still a problem, so KPAC decided to present its 2021 Seollal Concert virtually.

This full-length presentation includes a combination of recorded performances from before the pandemic, performances recorded specifically for this event, and video presentations about Seollal traditions created by our students. I recruited and coordinated the student volunteers, giving them specific guidelines for creating their videos and providing support as needed. I wanted them to be able to take ownership of their content and be able to take their own creative direction. I then stitched the entire 1-hour 5-minute video together, adding in the inserts I designed as well as an MC voiceover, which I scripted and narrated. I also designed the poster, which we shared via email and Facebook, and a 1:1 tile that we posted to Instagram. I used an online graphic design platform called MiriCanvas which at the time had a much larger collection of Korean tradition-related design elements.
