About

Gina Choi is a teaching artist and arts administrator specializing in Korean traditional performing arts. She received her M.A. in Ethnomusicology with a focus on Korean drumming from the University of British Columbia.

In 2019, she served as a tour manager and translator for Korean percussionist Kim So Ra during her North America Tour. From 2020 to 2024, she served as Program Coordinator at the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago (KPAC), where she helped organize KPAC's 10th Anniversary Concert and Korean Music Conference (2022, 2024).

She has provided cultural arts instruction and grant writing support for Korean adoptee organizations such as JangmiArts and the Korean Cultural Association. With Stringway, she coordinated short-term residencies for Korean artists and contributed to the development of the Korean Music Global Network, a database connecting Korean music practitioners internationally.

Her work is rooted in teaching and coordination, with a commitment to building sustainable support structures for artists and community-based organizations.
